Exporting and reading your allocation CSV

Turn the workbook into a real CSV file, understand each column, and stay safe from spreadsheet formula tricks.

What this guide is for

Produce a portable, spreadsheet-safe export and know how to read the allocated shipping and variance columns.

What the export contains

The exported file has one row per item line and columns covering the parcel ID, currency, item, quantity, weights, each invoice value, the allocated international shipping, the gross cost, the net paid, any pending refund, and the variance against your budget.

Quote characters inside fields are preserved, and any field that begins with a formula character is neutralised so it cannot run when opened.

The export is a genuine file downloaded to your device. Special characters cannot break the columns, and formula-injection attempts are defused.

How to export

  1. 1

Filter to what you want to keep

Search by parcel ID or item name and filter by refund state so the export matches the view you are looking at.

  2. 2

    Download the CSV

Use the download button to save a real .csv file. If your browser blocks the download, use the copy button instead and paste the text into your spreadsheet.

  3. 3

Open it and check the split

Sort by parcel ID, then look at the allocated international shipping column. The values for one parcel should add up to that parcel's shared shipping total.

Reading the variance column

Variance is your recorded cost minus your own budget for that line. A positive number means you spent more than you planned; a negative number means you came in under. It compares you to your own target — it is not a judgement about any seller or agent.
