What this guide is for
Get from a raw invoice or a Sugargoo spreadsheet export to a structured worksheet where every cost has a home — without inventing numbers.
Why a workbook and not a single total
A single grand total hides the exact question you are trying to answer: which item, in which parcel, actually pushed the cost up. Splitting your order into parcels first, then into item lines, means shared costs like international shipping can be distributed instead of guessed.
This notebook stores everything only in your own browser. That is deliberate — your costs are a private worksheet, not a public database.
An empty notebook is a private worksheet. It is not a verified product database and it does not contain any official cost figures.
Step-by-step setup
- 1
Create one parcel per shipment
Open the tool and add a parcel. Give it the parcel ID exactly as it appears on your invoice or in the Sugargoo spreadsheet, and set the invoice currency for that parcel. One parcel = the shipping invoice you actually received.
- 2
Add one line per item inside the parcel
For each item, record what you actually paid: item cost, domestic shipping, the service fee, any adjustment, and a refund if one applies. Do not type an estimate where you know the real figure — record the real one.
- 3
Record quantity and unit weight
Quantity and unit weight (in grams) are what later let you split shared shipping by weight. If you have not weighed an item, leave weight blank — the tool will refuse the proportional split rather than fake a number.
- 4
Enter the shared international shipping once
The international shipping figure on the parcel is entered once, on the parcel itself. The workbook then allocates it across the item lines using whichever method you pick.
- 5
Set your own budget per line
Add the amount you were willing to spend on each line. The workbook compares recorded cost to your budget and shows the variance — over or under.
What to leave blank on purpose
Leave weight blank when you genuinely do not know it. Leave refund blank when nothing was refunded. An empty cell is honest; a made-up number quietly poisons every total downstream.
Nothing here claims a price, stock level, delivery outcome or authenticity. You are recording what a source told you, on a date — nothing more.
